CICO, in a bid to consolidate and expand its leadership in
India, has entered into a strategic partnership with COMMONWEALTH DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION (CDC) of U.K.
CDC is a Government of U.K..'s venture
capital arm and is one of the world's leading investors in developing economies with
worldwide investments of over $2.2 billion. Through the equity participation in CICO,
CDC intends to participate in CICO's expansion drive in India as well as in
other Asian countries to begin with.
The alliance is aimed to create the required
financial base for CICO's emergence as a global player and a formidable force in
construction and specialty chemicals. |
